Wasn’t refurbished, was used with old owners files still in place. The prior owner probably returned it because the fan was going out (VERY noisy). Note that the Surface Pro 3 with this config would otherwise have gotten 4 stars (I bought a one from another vendor).

Product started having power issues 6 months after purchase. Was informed by both PC Made and Microsoft that the item was out of warranty. I would steer clear of both the Surface and this vendor.

Nice, high quality tablet
Just got my Surface Pro 3 yesterday (Amazon says it shipped but Fedex tendered it to USPS and USPS delivered it) and I really love it. The display is nice and big with vivid colors and very responsive. Only issue I had was my microSD card not showing up, but there was an update which all of the sudden I guess fixed the microSD and works fine. I also like the fact that you can plug in a usb cable to the charging adapter that comes with it…that is something ALL companies should do (APPLE, PAY ATTENTION). Seller did a great job refurbishing the tablet and I have been using it nonstop! Now, time to get a case

Love everything about this tablet, but it’s a little heavy. Guess that’s the price for a powerful and large tablet. Also got the keyboard and pen, which are invaluable for the document write ups and the apps that I am using….

Unbelievably disappointing.
An extremely inferior product. I am not sure if this is because it was not refurbished properly or if it the make of the device as I have not worked on a brand new one. But this product has had issues off and on since I got it. Was going to send it back to be replaced but then it worked for a while. I have the pen, brand new, but that does not improve the product. Most issues have to do with pages loading and then they stop responding and re-load automatically numerous times in an hour!! It is beyond frustrating. The pen has some awesome features, but the device has a delay to almost everyting so once you click, you have to wait and if you click again – well it will have a lot of trouble with that! It sometimes loads additional pages you never wanted it to. It’s a mess.

Product was defective. Struggling just to get a refund
Ordered this about 2 weeks ago. When it arrived it functioned as normal. After completing the account set up the graphics drivers started crashing, and when i say crashing I mean over and over again. I made an attempt to get to the driver update page and the screen flashed off, then came back BUT the background was now black and the screen was unusable. the device then started heating up rapidly. I turned it off and immediately called them to ask about it, in which the lady told me it was defective. I asked to receive a refund rather than a replacement and she agreed to do so. I sent the item back and patiently waited for my refund. Here I am 2 weeks later, still waiting. She told me they received it 8 days ago. Every time I call I get the same answer, “we will be emailing you about it soon.”

I will say all items were in package and was very pleased with shipping. After 4 months battery is dead and does not register. It states certified refurbished, so I contacted Microsoft for battery issue and was told this item is not certified and we can’t help. Really? So be cautious.

Works perfectly for my purposes
I’m about to move into a tiny home and my 500+ cds will become a burden for space. I bought this tablet for the sole purpose of ripping all of my cds into Win Media Player. It performed admirably. I did have to purchase a Bluetooth mouse (a minimal expense) because my fingers were not reliable in navigating screen commands. I also opted to purchase a USB remote disc drive as a backup device. I would have liked a second USB port on the tablet, but that’s just a matter of convenience.In order to save money, this unit was services for resale. It performs as new with Windows 10 but, of course, it was without original packaging and it did not come with a user manual.A good value for the money.

Two non-functioning units, poor customer support
Alright, so, I ordered one of these. Upon opening the box I was impressed with the condition of the tablet; no signs of wear, amazing screen condition, generally happy. I booted it up, set it up and all was well until the CPU fan turned on – an incessant grinding noise and eventually would jam up and shut down. I immediately contact the seller and inquired about replacement and reimbursement, 5 days later and still have not heard back from them. I am returning it to Amazon immediately.While I was waiting for a response from the seller, I needed a laptop/tablet for work. So I ordered another one from them and was hoping that the first was just a dud/fluke; this stuff happens after all. Same reaction on opening the package, the tablet was visually in great condition. However, this time, the unit came with a defunct battery that would not charge and would not power the laptop when not plugged in. I am not even attempting to contact the seller this time around due to the lack of their response on the first two attempts. Will not be buying from this seller again, and will just buy a new Surface Pro 3 new for an extra 150$; don’t waste your time here people.Pros:-Visually, the laptop is in great shape, no signs of wear or tear-When working, the laptops are great and very easy to use in both laptop and tablet mode. I will be buying a new unit rather than refurbished from a different sellerCons:-Two units arrived completely useless-Very poor customer support from seller-Refurbishing means apparently only the visual aspects and not the mechanical/electrical components

1) does not come with windows- well not exactly. it came with an unregistered version that had a watermark asking me to activate and crashed 2 days after use. I couldn’t find a workaround once it crashed so I had to completely reinstall windows, fix some driver settings, reinstall work software…etc2) used- not new, not like new. there are scuffs around the edge of the tablet and there is a metal piece on the back of the kickstand that was falling off on arrival.3) delayed shipping- 5 days late when ordered with 2 day prime shipping. This may be amazons fault thoughminus one star for poor condition and minus 2 stars for having an unstable version of windows resulting in hours of wasted time. had I not had a copy of windows 10 on a flash drive it would have been a $500 paperweight.That being said, the hardware all seems to be intact so far, the tablet actually feels a lot like a computer, and the functionality with a stylus (not included) is extremely nice. If you are good with computers, have some free time, don’t mind a few scratches, and want to save $50 this may be the tablet for you. Otherwise you may want to look somewhere else.

No charger… updated review
Update. Although the seller didn’t contact me, I did recieve a charger in the mail today. Overall I am very pleased with the tablet. This is perfect for my daughter that is starting college and loves to draw. The tablet itself is flawless.Tablet itself is great. The listing states a 36W power supply is in the box but we didn’t get one. I contacted Amazon and was told they would have the seller contact me but it has been several days and no contact yet.

I’m happy with it, don’t know what others are complaining about
I normally don’t write reviews but I hate to see people trash on quality products. The tablet has very minor scratches on the screen, ones that can only be seen when you really look for them. I’ve only had it a couple days but everything works just fine. I feel like others don’t know how to initially set up a computer and just tried to install a bunch of programs right from the start without ever letting the setup or updates complete. This is the only renewed one I could find with a warranty past 90 days and so far I’m completely happy with it. It might be hard for find a rugged case for this tablet but otherwise I highly recommend. Ill update if anything changes.

Won’t connect to the wi-fi, and BOTH phone numbers for customer support are out of service.
I turned it on as soon as I took it out of the box, and the battery was dead. Waited for the battery to be charged enough for setup, and it won’t connect to my wi-fi. So I called both phone numbers provided for technical support, and both numbers are out of service. So I’m returning this. It shouldn’t be this hard to use a tablet that is supposed to be certified refurbished.

everything started working great. The Surface is a fine machine
A little bit shaky at the start. Didn’t seem to want to work at all, and was getting ready to send it back. However, I think it was only that the Windows 10 version that was loaded on it was quite a bit out of date. Once the machine caught up with the updates, everything started working great. The Surface is a fine machine, beautifully designed. The keyboard/cover is a necessity that didn’t come with it, but still a but with the additional purchase. Even loaded Office 2007 from the old desktop, and it works fine too. The only negative so far (1 month of steady use) is that the battery doesn’t last as long as I would like – good but not great. I have heard the same from other Surface owners, so it’s not just this refurb.
