I finally made the switch….
As a LONG TIME “normal” PC user I have wanted a Mac, but the price AND the fact that I could get so much “bang for the buck” with a standard PC, have encouraged me to choose a PC. Well, I finally made the switch. The MacBook Air 13 M3 is a great laptop! I don’t need a huge laptop! I appreciate that it’s compact, lite, and very portable! The M3 chip is very capable! For me, the 512 SSD is absolutely sufficient! If I need more, linking a portable drive is not only inexpensive, but also super easy! The resolution is excellent! Yes, Apple has bigger, and more powerful laptops! Yes, they definitely come at a premium! However, they are far beyond handling my needs. This model handles all of my requirements, AND it’s a Mac! To me that means that I have no worries that it will be handling my needs for years to come! I’m very pleased with my purchase!

Fantastic laptop
The price is definitely the worst thing about these machines. However, everything else is great. I got the 16gb ram 512gb storage model with 3 years of AppleCare. The battery is incredible. Last far more than all day. I’ll have it set up watching YouTube while I’m cooking at full volume for a couple hours and it still at 90%. Bring to college all day never had any problem. Never gotten home and has less than 50% battery even after using it in all my classes and between.Snappy when turning it on. This is my first MacBook product and it meets an exceeds all expectations. If you are new to owning a Mac, it is definitely a transition from windows but not unbearably so. I’d recommended to anyone that wants something that will last.

Everything and more!
I’ve always had MacBook pros and my 2018 model recently became too hot to handle.. literally. It didn’t matter if I was working for hours or just 15 minutes sometimes.. it would start sounding like a jet engine ready for takeoff and the heat coming off of it could melt butter. Although I love the power of the pro, I didn’t want to spend the money and end up needing to buy another one eventually. I took a gamble and bought this MacBook Air and it outperforms my MacBook Pro in every way. I’m one of those weirdos that will miss the Touch Bar I had on my pro but I’m slowly getting used to using an “Esc” key again. That is my only qualm. The speed, display, being much lighter weight, the gorgeous blue color – I love it all! Did I mention I’ve used my MacBook for a full battery cycle in one sitting and it was still cool to the touch?! It was a miracle and truly defining moment for me. I definitely think the air is the way to go, at least for me, from now on. Keep making these M chips apple – intel has nothing on you!

A good update for my previous MacBook Air
I purchased this MacBook Air to replace the laptop I purchased 8 years ago (2015 MacBook Air). I had a little trouble reading the small print in the setup screens. (Too lazy to find my reading glasses.) After that it was great that I was able to quickly transfer my files and download my applications to get set up right away. After my work laptop was updated to Sonoma I updated my desktop Mini so I’d already had a chance to use Sonoma. Overall it is pleasant to use, faster than my old machine. I was happy they still have a MagSafe adapter for the power input to avoid problems when you tangle with the power cord. The touch sensor is also nice for quickly approving things without a password. Drawback: that notch taking up room on the menubar, I’m still getting used to it. Overall a good upgrade and I think I’ll still be happy with it 8 years from now.

Great laptop, too small for my workflow
Objectively speaking, the M3 16 gb ram w/ 512 storage is a 5-star computer all day, so I am giving 5-stars.This is a great device, but everyone already knows that, so I am focusing on two big considerations that I had – specs and size. I am just a layperson who primarily uses this device for office work.In sum, wish I could keep this one, but it’s just too small. This size is will be great for many users. Further, I will not ever buy a base model (8/256), but many people would probably be fine with base model.Specs-I originally bought a base model M2 (8/256) but swapped it out for the M3 16/512. With a brand new base model M2, I was constantly using memory swap and in yellow memory pressure. This happened immediately and took almost nothing. In addition, I only had ~80 gb of memory left after MacOS, iMessage, etc. took up most of the space on my hard-drive. I spent 2 days trouble-shooting this issue with Apple – turns out my only real option was to spec up. I bought the base model thinking I would be okay since I use cloud based services for everything. I was wrong. For ME, the super savings on the base model are NOT worth it. The savings will be worth it for other people with different needs and preferences. (And, again, I am a just layperson w/ tech. Just trying to share my lay opinion from my experience. Take with grain of salt.)Size-I actually love the size of the 13-inch, but for my work use, the screen is just too small. I use this laptop for work and personal, but my workflow is the most important consideration. I tend to multitask and juggle multiple word processing documents, pdfs, excel spreadsheets, and internet browser tabs. I also use split screen. I just cannot see enough text at once when I review documents – this causes decreased productivity and a far less comfortable experience. So, I have to size up to the 15-inch. If this was JUST a personal laptop, I would keep the 13-inch and absolutely love it.Also, I went to a store and tested out both sizes before purchasing, but that did not help me. Unfortunately, I had to test drive with my actual workflow before I realized the 13-inch was insufficient for my needs.Oh, one other thing. I love the midnight color. But all the fingerprint concerns are 100% legit (even with the M3, which I really did not notice the supposed improvement). I happen to find the beautiful color to be worth the fingerprints, but if that bothers you – do not buy midnight.Good luck, everyone!

If your coming from windows
Macbook is awesome. No doubt about it. After 2 weeks of having the macbook, I was getting frustrated with how I was unfamiliar with the operating system. I did get used to it. The 8GB of ram wasn’t an issue for me. My windows laptop had 16GB of ram. I was using it for school and web browsing. The battery life on the Macbook Air is INSANE. I didnt need to charge it overnight and it would last for hours without a charge. Overall, great laptop. Just not for me in terms of operating system. All the functions are great (in the apple ecosystem).

If you are a developer, it is a good option to buy a 16/512 model
This model (16/512) is suitable for those who require more than just everyday work. If you are involved in development (compiling, virtual machines, docker, multiple projects at once) and use a laptop for something more, then take this model. Browsing, listening to music, editing files and pictures – a regular model (8/256) will be enough for you. You don’t need to buy anything more powerful. One more note for those looking to buy: fingerprints are not a problem for me, since my laptop is mostly on the table and I rarely move it. The point is different: do not choose this color if it is important for you to clearly see and distinguish the keys on the keyboard in a dimly lit room – on gray models the distances between the keys are clearly visible, but on a laptop of this color – not. On this model, the keys are distinguishable only by the backlighting of the characters themselves. I think this is a very significant factor. If you are not sure, take a gray laptop.

The 2024 MacBook Air with the M3 chip is an impressive blend of performance and portability. The design remains sleek and lightweight, perfect for on-the-go use. Battery life is also outstanding, allowing for extended use without frequent recharging. Overall, this MacBook Air is a powerful, stylish, and highly capable laptop that meets the needs of both professionals and casual users alike.

Good
Was received in perfect condition, never opened box from Apple (despite some other reviews I read). It was delivered safely and on-time. Plus, I had to give the delivery man a code in order for him to give me the package, which is great to know that they ensure the expensive products go to the right person. As for the Mac itself, it is extremely fast! I had a Chromebook but I started my first full time year of college, so I figured I needed an upgrade. Definitely worth it!

Best computer I’ve owned…
I have used a Mac desktop and iPad Pro for years, but this is my first Macbook. Didn’t think I would need it, but it’s now essential. I can take calls and texts like my iPad, but more easily multitask and use Office apps. The battery life is unbelievable. Prefer a touchscreen, but I’m getting used to the trackpad. I’m sure it will eventually be second nature for me…

First ever MacBook for School
My first ever MacBook. Have always been a windows guy but thought I’d give it a try. Overall it’s been about two months of using and I love it so far. Have had multiple people comment how nice my laptop looks.Been using this for school. Decided to finish my senior year online. Truthfully I was a little worried about the 8gb of RAM as most laptops I’ve had have had 16. That being said, I’ve had no issues with it and it has run multiple tabs and windows well seamlessly flowing between them. Have loved working on this for school. Not much storage on the laptop, but really hadn’t been an issue as I use iCloud and OneDrive for school work.Biggest thing I love is the battery life. It last so long compared to all my other laptops I’ve owned and I don’t feel tethered to my charger at all.Overall, if you’re budget allows, I think this is great laptop for school and work. Wouldn’t recommend for gaming or anything like that, but for just about everything else it seems great. And again, for anyone else wondering like I was , the 8gb model has been more tan enough for my school work so far.

Perfect for Back-to-School
A perfect laptop to send with your student back to school. Easily powerful enough for almost all applications (especially in the humanities). These laptops have gotten kids all the way through college without needing to be replaced. Highly recommend. I do, however, recommend the Apple+ warranty for both extended tech support (less necessary) and because things happen on college campuses.

Great!
Was delivered 2 days earlier than stated. Grateful for that! However, the color stated when I ordered, was blue and I did not receive blue. Its really not a huge issue, just was a bit disappointing. I am keeping this one, as I need it. Other than that, I would have given 5 stars.

Amazing!!
I had to replace my old but trusty MacBook Air 2018 because it had seen its last days. This is so much faster than my former computer. Still very lightweight which is a plus. Set up was easy. Just had to get log into my cloud and get everything transferred. I will write another review in a few months.

For anyone wondering if the base model is enough, let me assure you – it absolutely is!
I recently purchased the 2024 MacBook Air M3 (base model) and it has completely blown me away. For anyone wondering if the base model is enough, let me assure you – it absolutely is!Here’s what I love:Powerhouse Performance: The M3 chip is incredibly powerful. I haven’t experienced any lag, even with multiple demanding applications open. This thing chews through everyday tasks and even handles some light photo and video editing without breaking a sweat.Featherlight Design: This laptop is unbelievably light. I can barely feel it in my bag, making it perfect for commuting or travel.Battery Life for Days: The battery life is nothing short of phenomenal. I easily get a full day’s work done on a single charge, and then some!Stunning Display: The bezels are practically non-existent, giving you maximum screen real estate. And what a screen it is! The colors are vibrant, the text is sharp, and it’s a joy to work on.Incredible Value: You get so much for your money with this laptop. It’s the perfect balance of performance, portability, and price.Overall:This MacBook Air is a triumph. Apple has knocked it out of the park with the M3 chip and refined design. If you’re looking for a powerful, portable, and long-lasting laptop, look no further than the 2024 MacBook Air M3. You won’t be disappointed!

Very Nice
I love the color. Very easy set up. Everything works great. I was worried about going to a 13 inch. It takes some getting use to. I like it isn’t so big and bulky to take room to room or even traveling. Speed is good. Boxed and shipped well. Shipping was right on time. Definitely buy a case and screen protector.

Light, fast, beautiful and great price
I bought this for my daughter. She is starting high school this year. When I received this MacBook Air 2024, I was a little bit jealous. It is light, thin, well made and runs really fast. I’m considering to get a 15″ Air for myself. I have been using a MacBook Pro 16″ 2021 model, which is very heavy and thick.

Perfection in every way
First off, the size for the 13 inch air Mac is a big enough size for a screen. I was expecting it to be smaller, but was pleasantly surprised. The quality of the screen and resolution and whatnots are impeccable. This runs like a dream. Unless you’re just setting it up and then it takes a bit to get going due to all the information you’re logging back in with if you’re an Apple user. The appearance of this thing is beautiful. I don’t know if I’ve ever seen a nicer looking laptop than this one. It’s really sleek looking. Very slim too. Also very very very light, so careful when handling it.The keyboard is practically silent when you’re typing on it.The speed on it after setting it up blew me away and I’m so happy I made this purchase. It feels so easy to use when you’re on it.Highly recommend this laptop to any Apple user that was the M3 chip, a newer laptop upgrade and something to do what you need to off of it. It’s amazing.

Quality and Efficiency all in One
Apple products are known for their sleek appearance, efficiency, and quality; all of which are found in the 2024 MacBook Air. I love the small , compact size and find that the screen is still large enough for all of my needs. It is very fast, energy efficient, and connects quickly when using Bluetooth devices.

Better with the M3
This version of the MacBook Air is great improvement over the MacBook Air with the M1 chip in it. This one is much better with the M3 because the docks work, dual monitors work, and the unit feels more sturdy in my hands. It travels without issue and the battery life is great. The cons are the changing of the charging port from USB-C to something resembling the original MacBook Air. It also freezes with the screen dark and I can’t brighten it without a reboot.

Feels great, AWESOME and chill! (coming from a PC person)
First off, I’m a gaming PC person. I do digital art as my main career, but wanted a laptop that could help me focus on studies and art. I got an HP Pavillion Aero 13, but it was too distracting. Chromebooks didn’t quite cut it… I’ve used Windows all my life but decided to venture out to try something new to spice up my lifestyle. This is my first time ever ordering a Macintosh product. It came on sale at $849.99 USD from $1,099.99 and saw that it was THIS year’s release. I was in disbelief of how big the discount was. I have only been exposed to the Apple ecosystem for around two years now (through only the iPhone and AirPods) and must tell you that this laptop feels GREAT. Even with the 8GB of RAM, everything is going smooth sails, multitasking is a natural and no program has ever felt slow up to this point. Plus, iPhone weaves extremely nice and smooth with productivity. The laptop is SUPER cool, and I have never felt a laptop this chill EVER. It got warm when installing Adobe products but it cooled off shortly after. Running games and art apps was a breeze! Discord, Word and Photoshop were running just as good as my other computers. My only complaint is all my portable hard drives are not compatible since they use NTFS… but since this was intended to largely complete college projects, I doubt it’ll be an issue.I recommend this laptop if you want a taste of Apple’s computers without spending much. I like having that hybrid world of experiencing both Windows/Android and Mac OS/iOS at my fingertips, so that’s another reason why I ordered this. I don’t regret it one bit and I almost want to hug this mini thing!

High quality but questionable value and compatibility
I’ve had this for a month now. I’m coming from windows. I also build my own gaming PCs and like to keep up on technology. I’m currently using this for grad school. This is my 2 cents on the Apple Air M3.The Good:-Very high quality external hardware and build (all aluminum, very sturdy and aesthetically pleasing.- Highly compact build-Great battery life. I’m in grad school now and I’ve done 2 hours days without a charge.- Fast and responsive for the type of productivity I’m using it for.- “Just works” no major crashes or tech issues yetThe Bad:Fingerprint magnet in “Midnight” color. Collects smudges and finger prints very easily and visibly.-No Spotify app in the Apple store for MacBook (but is available for iPad and iPhone) I had to side download it off the Spotify website. Strange that Apple does not support this in their own store.- No virtual assistant choices. Google Assistant and Alexa are not available in the Apple store for Mac (but are available for iPad and iPhone). Cannot be officially downloaded either. Your stuck with Siri, which for me is an inferior virtual assistant and not compatible with many things outside of the Apple ecosystem such as Sony noise cancelling headphones ECT.- The M3 with 16GB of ram and 512GB SSD and no dedicated GPU cost as much as much as my Windows gaming laptop from 7 years ago (2017) that had 16GB of ram and 512GB SSD and a powerful GPU. Those specs in 2024 are low/entry level for a premium device. The fact that Apple sells an 8GB 256GB SSD version of this device for as much as it does is really insulting, not future proof, nor anywhere near market value of that hardware. This is especially true if you use demanding software outside of the Apple ecosystem.Apple fans will cry the device does not need as much ram as a non ARM Windows device and thats true, but windows makes ARM laptops now and the year is 2024, a 7 year old laptop should not be competing with this device. It’s overpriced and under speced. Conclusion: Overall this is a quality product and I have no regrets about buying it. I think it’s good to be proficient in Windows and Mac. I like owning both systems. However the value of this product (and all apple products) is questionable. A Windows Co-pilot Arm device, such as the Microsoft Surface Laptop is likely a better value in everyway unless your deeply invested in Apples Ecosystem.

Totally capable and worth the buy
I recently bought this machine for two purposes. The deal was I’d use this for my freelance work for a month while my 2019 Macbook Pro was being fixed and then my niece gets it for college. So it’s really a gift, but I got to use it for a few weeks. My biggest grip is that the ports are all on one side, the side that makes plugging things in on my desk awkward. My Macbook Pro has two ports on each side, and I always end up using the right side ports for charging and for the dongle. But I almost never use it as a LAPtop. It’s really a desktop machine that I take from desk to desk with rare appearances not plugged into an external monitor and other devices. It is more portable than my Pro but not enough for it to make a big difference. On a small popup desk in a university auditorium and bouncing around campus, this is probably more noticeable, I just don’t have the experience to comment.I only use one external monitor but for power users using two monitors the new M3 chip probably makes a big difference. I don’t even know if my 2019 Pro with an Intel chip can do this, I’ve never tried. But I think power users requiring multiple monitors are aiming for the Pro.Running high-ish intensity apps like IntelliJ with multiple apps in the background, I have to concede that this machine is a little slower than my 2019 Pro. But I think that’s largely to do with the fact that my main machine has more RAM. With solid state memory being the norm these days it doesn’t matter much, and really even high intensity tasks that make my pro’s fan start up only take maybe a second or two more on this machine.I’m not an Apple preacher. I still haven’t decided whether I like macOS more than Windows. But Apple hardware seems to be better than any PC hardware in this price range. PC laptops seem to degrade faster, mostly the battery. PC laptop batteries go from 18 hours to 2 hours over the course of 5 years. My Pro battery went from 18 or so to 4 over 5 years. And these days you can’t change a PC battery with this form factor either. The Pro screen is definitely better, but again I’m using an external monitor 99% of the time, so it doesn’t matter much for me.If you’re running high intensity apps you should go for the Pro still, but the difference isn’t really that huge. If you’re doing things that don’t involve high intensity calculations this is probably the best machine on the market especially for the money. If you’re trying to decide between this and a PC of similar price and reputation, this is probably the first time I’d say Apple is offering a better product for the money. This machine is cheaper than it should be. So it’s really a decision between macOS and Windows. Mac has the better command line out of the box but similar Windows tools can be installed just as easily. For gaming, Windows wins, but this isn’t a gaming device. The best benefit to macOS for my work is that my employer won’t give administrative privs to Windows users, but for macOS they haven’t removed that yet, so I can actually do my job without having to ask permission to install an ad blocker in Chrome. Huge plus.

APPLE ECOSYSTEM
As someone who loves many of the Apple products and managed to grab a bunch of them for himself, a MacBook Air M3 is a must grab! Before I got this, I used to have a M1 MacBook Air (8 GB | 256 GB Storage) and I absolutely loved/adored it. It was officially my first real, fast, and powerful laptops (before then I had a dinky Chromebook to do all my stuff). I had it for roughly 6 months before I traded it to a friend. In the moment, I was like: “I don’t need a MacBook, in fact: I have a powerful enough Lenovo laptop.” But not even 2 months past before I was on the hunt for a new MacBook — because when you own 90% of all the electronic devices from Apple, it feels required to get a MacBook!I was torn whether or not to get the M2 or M3 MacBook Air… finally, I rested on the M3 MacBook Air with all the basic storage and ram. I decided to pay a bit more money to get the top of the line Air instead of being one generation behind. I didn’t see the need to upgrade my ram or storage because this laptop is mainly for the use for 1): to complete more of the Apple Ecosystem and 2): to do all my daily stuff on it. 8GB of ram and 256GB of storage is enough for what I need to do. One of the best things of this Air is it looks more slick than my old M1 MacBook and while I can’t really tell the difference in performance, it’s a pretty dang powerful laptop (and it should be, seeing I paid around $900 for it). And the speakers… can I say that they are way better than my iPhone 12 (soon to be upgraded 16 when it comes out), and I thought those speakers were great. Battery life is phenomenal (only charged it once since I first got it, and even then it wasn’t a full charge)! My minor issue with this laptop is the function keys at the very top… I’m used to the small rectangular type, and now they’re literally the same size as the letter keys. Getting used to them will take a bit since all my life those functions keys have always been very small. Overall, solid laptop to buy for daily uses and to complete that Apple Ecosystem… because what’s an ecosystem without a MacBook in it?

Perfect Gift for College Student
I bought the Apple 2024 MacBook Air 13 inch as a gift for my sister, who is starting her first year of college. Its an amazing choice for a college student. Its lightweight, powerful, and with a beautiful Liquid Retina Display. It comes with 8GB of RAM and a 512GB SSD, perfect for handling her coursework, streaming, and more. While the price is not cheap, it feels like an investment in her future. However, its worth noting that there are not many changes from the older models, which might make you think twice if you are already using a relatively recent version. But for a first time college student needing reliability and style, its a definitely a great pick!

My first ever Apple computer
I’ve been a loyal Windows user for all of my life (besides my iPhone). This was a major switch for me, and I’ll admit, getting used to the UI and functionality is challenging at first, but once you figure it out, it’s insanely fast and easy to use. I use this laptop for work daily and it’s been great so far.

JUST DO IT
My iMac finally crashed & I had to replace it with a new laptop fast. I didn’t want anything large, and definitely wanted to spend the extra for the newest model so it lasts longer than an older model. After looking for hours at literally every website that sells the new model, this was by far the BEST price! I was skeptical coming from Amazon, but WOW it sure is great and 100% brand new!

Great computer, great Prime Day price
This replaced a very old MacBook Air. It was a breeze to set up and start using, and it is far faster than what it replaced. The Prime Day price made it a great deal on what would be a costly purchase otherwise.

Love this laptop. Easy to use. Interfaces with other Apple devices. A few differences in how it works from other devices. Perfect size and very fast response.

Top of the market!
As my first MacBook and have been using it for a couple weeks, I do see the difference from the other laptops of the competition, and now with Mac OS Sequoia this pc is a beast!

Great device!
It’s my first MacBook after a whole life using windows. I can say that it’s a great device. Solid construction, great performance and very compact. I still I’m getting used to the differences like shortcuts and other settings, but enjoying a lot the experience.

Son Loves It
Gift for son who lives in NY. When he tells me more on how it is working on for him, I will add his comments to this review. He is so busy.
