Good tablet overall
I’ve had this laptop for about a year now. Overall it’s a good tablet for the price and was well packaged. I use it for CNC work and its primary function is to run Shapeoko Carbide Motion which it does without any issue. However, I’ve noticed that the tablet definitely bogs down when trying to do simple multitask functions. It may just be me but I hate the Microsoft platform. Probably just user error but whatever I selected during set up moved everything from my other Microsoft account onto the tablet and now it’s a cluttered mess. The battery life for this tablet is good, but the power cord is pretty flimsy and feels cheap. There have been times the tablet won’t turn on which is really annoying. I wish they would have used the C-type connector for power as it would have been much more reliable and sturdy. The tablet only has one dedicated USB port with the option to connect a second USB dongle to the C-type port. Again, my wish list, but it would have been nice to have two USB ports.

Great Little Tablet
I was pleasantly surprised when I fired up this tablet and saw it can sync with my laptop so I no longer need to carry the bulky laptop and do everything I need with this lightweight tablet. It has made my life easier when traveling!!

Great price point and works as advertised
Lots of cheaper tablets either suffer from a really slow processor, or the touch screen is blurry or not responsive. This unit has the look and feel of something much pricier. in fact, it works and feels on par with my Samsung Android tablets – but its full windows 11. Im on the road a lot, so keeping a small keyboard and mouse in my bag allows me to support my customers without carrying around a full laptop!

Great Value For Great Price
So originally I was looking for something that I could read some ebooks on and was portable as well as comfortable (that’s what got me to search for a tablet to begin with). Then, I stumbled across these windows fusion tablets and all I have to say is wow! I went from wanting a tablet to getting a laptop that looks like a tablet at a fraction of the price. This thing has the capability to replace my laptop from 2015 and then some. I went with the higher storage to see if it could play games. This thing plays World of Warcraft classic just fine (which is the only game I really play). I would not recommend playing any triple A title video games but like the title says: This is very high quality for the price. I was definitely skeptical after seeing other brands for a similar price, I feel like those are probably actually scams. This “Fusion” brand seems legit and so far I am very pleased with my purchase. I have never owned a tablet before, just a few laptops and a gaming PC, so I don’t have the best knowledge of tablets. I know that they are way expensive and this is not. I also bought the “Fusion” brand keyboard and cover. Total bundle and shipping was less than $300! I also took it out of the “S” mode for any of you wondering so I could download blizzard games, wow, other apps, etc.Cons: This is a little slow sometimes when loading a bunch of things at once which is natural given the specs. Perfect for me though since I wasn’t expecting a cutting edge laptop/tablet. The battery life is a little weak around 6-5 hours with heavy use but not to bad for what I am doing.Pros: With the keyboard attachment this is better then a lot of low budget laptops right now. The quad core and memory is great. I can play wow, stream vudu and prime no problem, and read my ebooks. This thing is a steal hands down. I don’t really consider it a tablet, more of convenient laptop with a detachable keyboard. We will see how long it last with heavy use. I am already looking forward to buying the newer versions down the road if this thing last more then a few years. I will definitely buy these tablet/laptops instead of traditional laptops in the future hands down.Thank you Fusion!

Great Tablet!
I bought this to make it into a Linux tablet, but once I got it and started playing with Windows 11, I wanted to keep it as it was. Apparently, they have a docking keyboard, but I had a folding keyboard with a track pad I used with my Raspberry Pi and that connected via Bluetooth with no problems. The only reason I didn’t give it five stars was because it only has 64gb of hard drive space, but I put in a 64gb SD card for my files. A little over half of the hard drive is used up by windows, but it’s not that big of a deal as I only use it when I travel or if I want to check something on the web without taking out my laptop. They may have larger hard drives, but I didn’t see it (I also didn’t see a docking keyboard). But for $220, it can’t be beat for a real computer that can run programs, not just apps. So, maybe 4.25 stars and I’ll update this in a year or so when I have a feel for it’s battery life (right now it’s around 5 hours). If you’re looking for a Windows tablet, this is a good buy. And that’s all I have to say about that….. (F> Gump)!UPDATE: Still runs for about 5 hours–mind you I don’t use it daily. I’m looking at their newer model with 8gb of ram and a 128gb hard drive for $300, then the wife can have this one. I still recommend it.

Perfect for my use case
I don’t have much use a tablet on most days. But when it comes to automotive uses, sometimes you just need a Windows PC. A laptop is usually too bulky. I got this specifically to diagnose automotive issues while driving down the road. Issues that come and go, where they’re usually gone by the time you get back to garage. This tablet is perfect for that. Already got good data while using it, battery life is at least a few hours with full brightness while running diagnostic software. My only complaint was that by the time I finished setup and spent a few minutes playing around in Microsoft Paint, the screen was heavily scratched by my stylus. Just using the tablet you don’t notice it, but when the screen is off it’s quite noticeable.I plan to also use this as a mini-gaming machine on the go, for lightweight games. But it has the ability to be taken into my living room and used as a regular computer. It’s worth the price point in my opinion.

Far better than expected – Replaced my service laptop
Could not be happier with my purchase of the 4 gig 10 inch Fusion 5 tablet. I purchased this device with the intention of replacing a much more expensive laptop that is used for service call visits to customer sites. I regularly use laptops for IT services, specific to high definition security video solutions. I have searched for a small form factor device with networking capabilities to use in servicing IP video cameras connected to enterprise networks. Until now a high-powered laptop with Ethernet port has always been required.I purchased the keyboard mouse portfolio device along with the tablet. The entire package is a very sleek and attractive option to carry and use daily. I will agree with other reviews that the keyboard is less responsive than the wired option back at my office and the mouse pad leaves a little to be desired. I have found that a wireless mouse is easier for me to use when longer use sessions are required. Regarding a quick email or a little web browsing the keyboard and mouse pad is just fine. The included power adapter does make me a little uncomfortable as I have never seen a power supply like it and doubt it would be easy to replace. I did however discover that the tablet will charge from the micro USB port on the side of the device. As a technical contractor, the purchase of this device has eliminated a laptop bag as part of my daily carry items. I’m now able to slide my Fusion 5 tablet inside my tool bag and reduce the number of items I carry on to a job site to 1 bag as opposed to 2. I’ve found that using the system inside my service vehicle is also very comfortable now. I’m able to quickly send an email from the front seat of my vehicle with all the desktop tools I would expect back in my office.Installation of Microsoft Office software suite went off without a hitch. I seem to have no trouble accessing my cloud based business applications. I am also able to run high definition video software applications used in my business. Virus software, Microsoft updates, and any other installation I have attempted so far have going off without a hitch.Storage is extremely limited in the device. My personal needs have all become cloud based over the past few years, with the installation of a 128 gig SD card I have not reach a point yet that I needed more storage. You get what you pay for is certainly true in the realm of devices of this nature. That being said, I certainly feel like the gamble placed when purchasing this device was a great success for my needs.*Note * I was so pleased with this purchase that I later purchased 11 inch Fusion 5 laptop with 2 gigs memory. I will see that the difference in memory between the laptop and the tablet are substantial. I do not believe the laptop with 2 gigs would meet my needs professionally for daily service call use. The tablet with 4 gigs of memory appears to be perfect. Hoping that Fusion 5 releases a 4 gig version of their laptop soon.

Perfect device to operate a CNC
I purchased the Fusion5 FWIN232 Plus because I needed a computer with windows to run controller software to operate my CNC Router. I considered using my laptop but it was too big and cumbersome to use in the shop environment. The Fusion5 tablet is absolutely perfect for this use. The Windows 11 operating system runs smoothly with the 8 gigabytes of ram and the display is bright and crisp. It is just the right size to be able to watch the machine while jogging the controls by touch and there is zero latency or lag. I can keep my finger over the emergency stop button and it will respond instantly to the touch. When not in immediate use, I keep the tablet in a 3d printed 10″ tablet holder affixed to the machines enclosure. I am very happy with this purchase. If you own a CNC machine, I don’t think there is a better solution to operate it than with a Fusion5 windows tablet.

Not too bad suffers from windows bloat.
I’ve used this for quite a while now and I can say for sure being able to use windows on a tablet is a bajillion times better than useless android devices. Unfortunately Windows really cripples these types of devices quite heavily with it’s sheer girth and annoying background shenanigans. If it decided to start doing tasks in the background like updating or scanning the computer with windows defender you will 100% notice. It’s rough. I skimmed through settings and shut off as much as I could and still you can see with the task manager it eats up a hunk of the CPU. Once it’s done it becomes way more usable. I think this would benefit greatly with a light Linux install but good lord it seems like every other task you try to do ends up either being a cake walk to a rabbit hole of dispair with Linux. The screen and it’s case with keyboard you can get is extraordinarily disappointing. The keyboard has a hard time staying connected and loses contact with the pins easily and the screen is plastic. I bought the case to help protect it but the plastic keyboard rubbing up against the screen causes scratching. That’s right the keyboard made for this device scratches the screen in the thing you use to protect it. A screen protector if you can get one to work with it is necessary. My brother just tossed it in a box like an idiot while we where moving. Yes tossed my $200 tablet loose in a box not even in it’s protector that was in same box and it looks like it got attacked by a raccoon with scratches and gauges all over. I honestly don’t know how I feel about it overall, I’m a bit disappointed but it’s a pretty darn low price and I don’t know how the windows surface pro that has half the cores with more hz can stack up. I use it to program games with java and it is nice to test them on such a slow machine vs my beast of a desktop that could make the least optimized trash code run like normal. I’d just beware you need to have patience when working on this machine don’t expect ultra responsiveness like you get with a desktop. Oh and I filled the SSD up in no time and sd cards are not very fast as a substitute.

I have not had my fusion5 long. But I have noticed that the sound at 100% is not very load. The cost is spot on, and delivery was very quick. It seems durable and it is a good size.

Low Expectations, Impressed Anyway
NOTE: Pictures are of keyboard. Was not included in initial purchase.05/23/2019 – The company sent me an offer for one of several items if I’d write a review – regardless of rating I’d get the item. So I sent them my review. Took a couple of tries because their email doesn’t seem to like embedded pictures. They got it after I attached the pics separately, and I got the keyboard a few days later.Like the device, the keyboard is an extremely good value. I mean, it would be even if it was like $30-$50, but since it was “free”, it was outstanding. 🙂 Anyway, the keyboard is very nice. It’s light and solidly made, has all the functions one would expect and more. It has a touchpad (which you can turn on/off with a function key) which also does pinch-zoom and two-finger scrolling. The keys work well and are nicely space, and there’s even arrow keys. No room for a 10-key of course. The keyboard is part of a “cover” which is a soft-cover, and I wondered why it didn’t stick to the back, until I realized it has “folds” built in which you can fold together to make the device stand up. It’s pretty clever really – I’ll see if I can get a pic, as it’s hard to describe, but basically it has magnets that if you stick them together, the rest of it folds into a triangular shape giving you a “stand”.Having used the device more since my initial review, I’m even more impressed with it. The battery is better than expected, and even with a processor that’s weaker than I’m used to (all my laptops have i7’s) it still performs very well. I’ve set it up several different ways, reset, and set up again with no problems. It doesn’t appear to charge through the USB, but I can live with that. The charger is fine.Since it only has 64GB storage, I put in a 128GB SD card, and that too works fine. As always, the primary drive should be used for program installs (because it’s faster) and the SD card for storage (and programs that don’t need to load/access as quickly). I don’t know what the max card size is, but 128GB is working fine for me.02/08/2019 – This tablet is pretty darn good for the price. I wanted a cheap one so I could give Windows “as a tablet” a real try when I decided to replace my Android tablet. The good news is that it seems to work just fine, for what it is. What it is, is a cheap Windows tablet. It seems to work about as well as a weak i3 desktop would, meaning it does everything, but if you’re used to a powerful machine, this one may “feel” slow. And of course, you won’t be able to run graphics-intensive games or open a dozen programs and expect them all to work well. The battery life was pretty good. And it threw to MiraCast just fine, as well as accepting keyboards & mice. I installed Office 365 and about 40 other apps, and all ran okay including VPN, a few games, some other productivity programs, etc.For me, Windows as a casual “home” tablet simply doesn’t work. All too often I had to find the stylus to “click” on things, and the majority of the apps are simply awful for home/casual use. So after having this for a few weeks I bought a new Android tablet to replace the old one. This does NOT constitute a failure on this tablet’s side. The tablet works as expected – like a PC.

Great value.
*edit 01/25/19*After exchanging emails about trying to get the touchscreen working/a fresh install image, I was provided with a WinPE image. No problem, I can work with that. However, it actually doesn’t contain what is needed to get the unit going. I will say that the offered support is very lackluster. I really haven’t used the unit with the touchscreen not working sooooooooo meh. I guess the best advice is don’t completely format and remove the recovery partition for space as Fusion5 won’t provide much beyond that. I am not docking it any stars as it worked out of the box. This review is done with a unit that I did a fresh install of Windows 10 on, Fusion5 does not have drivers readily available and I have not reached out to them yet to see if they are able to give drivers or an install image. The only things that I can’t get to work without something from them is the touchscreen and the windows button on the screen. The drivers for everything are not easy at all to get together, it’s a big mix of locations to get from. The screen (what appears to be a Silead) seems to commonly be a problem to get working without help from the OEM. I can get it working, but will not calibrate under any circumstances.I purchased this as I’m doing lots of traveling for work and wanted something casual to replace my laptop, but something cheap as theft/damage possibilities are a bit higher. The cheap build I was able to make for this -Trapper keeper case: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00L5H2F3C/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1TeckNet mouse: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01EFAGMRA/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1Arteck keyboard: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00X5P8BJO/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1Anker USB hub: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B014ZOJX7W/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1ProCase bag: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01KICFTNC/ref=od_aui_detailpages00?ie=UTF8&psc=1The price of the unit, protective case, BT mouse, BT keyboard, USB 3.0 hub with network, and carrying case for everything came in at about $280. I will be adding a slim BT controller for about $18, still keeping total price right around $300.This is not an overly powerful machine, keep your expectations real. It is still amazing what it can do at this price point. Many reviews for the x5-Z8350 can be found online. Intel does list this as only supporting 2GB of RAM, but this and other models in the family actually do recognize 4GB. Slowdown is pretty common when doing most things.-It does have a plastic screen protector already put on, I took a picture where I peeled up a corner just to make sure. (It was perfectly fine until I messed with it.)-The power button is touched by the securing strap of the case, but I feel this would be a common problem with almost any generic case. It doesn’t exactly cause any problems unless the tablet is shifted around, it detects it as a press on the button.-I have never seen it advertised, but there is a GPS unit in this – a Broadcom 47521. I have not used it much, but it does work.-Also never see it addressed: This comes with a separate AC adapter, 5v 2.5a that plugs in right above the USB. My unit also charges through the micro USB port with a 5v 2a Samsung charger. It seems odd this would never be addressed as using an extremely common plug is much better than a very uncommon small barrel adapter.I have some strange random problems, which I would love to try a new image to see if that’s the issue. Again, not readily available, but I also haven’t gotten around to reaching out to them about it.If you can be a realistic and patient user, the value here is incredible. My main usage of this will be playing some older games. I would say it’s similar to say a late 2011/early 2012 laptop with an i7-2670QM / Geforce 525m combo which was very popular back then.

A Nice Device for a Good Price
Fusion 5 10.1″ Windows 10 TabletI picked up this tablet as an upgrade to my Kindle Fire 8″. Overall, I’d say it was a good choice.Initially, I began shopping for a 10″ version of my same tablet, but I thought, why not upgrade a bit in the process? Since most of my other equipment is in the Microsoft ecosystem, I chose to go with a Windows tablet. That way, I can sync easily between my desktop, phone, and tablet, having all my data available from any device. When I first started shopping, my gut instinct was to pick up the MS Surface Go, which is a 10″ Windows 10 tablet. The down side is that Windows is running in S Mode. Windows 10 in S Mode is a more limited, locked-down Windows operating system. In S Mode, you can only install apps from the Store, and you can only browse the web with Microsoft Edge.I didn’t want to be limited, and I began looking around for another solution, eventually deciding on the Fusion5.Order the device through Amazon was simple and painless, as most Amazon transactions are. The device was shipped promptly, and arrived when it was supposed to.I’ve been using the tablet for a few weeks now, so I think I might be able to relay my experience with it.ScreenThe screen is great, on par with other high end tablets. The resolution of the 10.1″ (diagonally measured) display makes for a nice crisp display, with good color and brightness.Touch sensitive is good as well. I’ve had no problem with making selections for text fields, buttons, etc. Some other folks have commented about a problem with selecting a text field, and not having the on-screen keyboard pop up. I don’t think this is a failing of the tablet itself, but rather the way Windows 10 works with touch. It’s been an issue for the last several version of Windows, and 10 is no different. Putting Windows 10 into tablet mode alleviates the problem somewhat, but in some text fields you may need to double tap.Using the Inking function in Edge, OneNote, and other apps worked flawlessly. Using a stylus or your finger, you can highlight data on web pages or other places, or even include short notes. The only complaint I would have about the display is the inclusion of a less than stellar screen protector with the device, already installed. When I received mine, it was loose along the bottom bezel of the display. Further, the protector slightly hindered use of touch features. Once I removed the protector, touch sensitivity was much better. The downside if your remove the protector (and don’t replace it) is the potential for scratches, as well as the mass of fingerprints that will collect on the display.ConnectivityThe only option for connectivity include with the device is WiFi. I’ve tested it by connecting to several different access points, public and private, and have had no issues. The only downside I can mention is the lack of high speed options with the on-board WiFi. In my testing, I was only able to connect with 802.11b, which is limited to 11 Mbps, so you’re roughly getting 9.5-10 Mbps. I think a better option would be to use an 802.11 b/g/n chip for faster speeds.Even with the limited connectivity, I am able stream NetFlix, work on documents from OneDrive, and surf the internet with no issues. There is some slight buffering at the start of a NetFlix video, but my desktop does the exact same thing, so I don’t see that as negative. The rest of the stream is fine, and displays in HD. Streaming from YouTube was a bit better, with a quicker start to viewing than with NetFlix. The device comes with a variety of ports on the side, including a full size USB port, mini HDMI, USB-C and a power port. Charging via the power port *or* USB-C worked fine. I wasn’t able to test USB-C peripherals, as I don’t have any.Using the standard USB port, I connected a wired mouse, and it worked with no issue. also tried a USB keyboard, headset, and game controller. All worked with problem. As long as Windows has or can find the correct driver for the device, most should work with the tablet. One cool thing I was able to do is connect the tablet to my KVM switch. A KVM switch (with KVM being an abbreviation for “keyboard, video and mouse”) is a hardware device that allows a user to control multiple computers from one keyboard, monitor, and mouse.Using the KVM, I was able to use my full size equipment at my desk. The device found the peripherals with no issues, and I happily surfed the web and am actually writing this review using the tablet now, using the big screen. Document editing is much easier with full size equipment, and the Fusion5 had no problems allowing me to use my regular gear.Bluetooth connectivity is good, and I tried a couple of different devices with the Fusion5, including my phone, a mouse, and two different sets of headphones. Range and functionality was good. Leaving the tablet in my home office, I was able to move up to 50 feet away, and the sound was still good in my headphones.SoundThe tablet included two speakers, although they are not very good. At maximum volume, the sound is *just* audible. This doesn’t bother me, however, as I use a bluetooth headset when I am streaming video, using Skype, etc.I haven’t use the on-board microphone, but I imagine you would be better served getting a good bluetooth headset for Skype calls, or perhaps a wired headset connected to the USB port.StorageThe version of the device I purchased included 4 GB of RAM, as well as 64 GB of storage on-board.While 4 GB of RAM won’t give you enough “oomph” to run things like MySQL or Doom, it is more than enough to edit documents in Word, spreadsheets in Excel, surf the net with multiple tabs open (but no too many!), and play some lighter games like Asphalt Airborne and the like.Mass storage of the device is a seemingly huge 64 GB. However, keep in mind that Windows 10 takes a large chunk of this space for itself. The device does include an SD card slot, with which you can use to expand the storage. With this in mind, I did purchase a 128 GB SD card. I inserted the card, and it worked straight away. The first thing I did is set my OneDrive folder to the new drive, to keep things of the system drive. That way, you’re not cluttering up the system drive with your random cat pictures and crossword puzzles.Operating SystemThe Fusion5 comes with Windows 10 Home Edition, 32-bit. This is not a watered down version of Windows, nor is it Windows running in S mode. This is the full version of Windows 10 Home Edition. What this means is that anything that you can run on your home machine, you can run on your tablet, provided that it fits in to the requirements of the software. For example, I am a hobbyist software developer. I write applications and utilities for use by people all over the world. On this device, I was able to install and use a Win32 application that I built on my desktop machine. No errors, no missing drivers. It just worked.Where all this leads is if there is something you want to connect to this tablet, or some software you want to install, the only questions you need to ask are “Is it compatible with Windows 10?” and “Does my hardware meet the requirements?”Battery LifeThe claimed battery life is around eight hours, and I have no dispute with that. I charge the device once per week, and have yet to have an unexpected shutdown due to battery problems. I imagine with some power management like dimming the display and throttling the CPU a bit (both available by tapping on the battery icon in the system tray), you could stretch it out to ten hours.SummaryI’m pretty happy with this purchase. I use the Fusion5 for reading ebooks, watching streaming video, and some light web surfing. While it won’t replace my desktop or my full laptop (it’s a beast!), it is great for use on airplanes, laying in bed at night, riding the bus, etc.Besides the few minor items I pointed out previously, I would make one more ask for this device. The tablet includes no recovery media with it. It would be nice to have the option of performing a clean install of Windows 10 from media, if the need arises. As it sits, I’m not sure it can be booted from USB, but than may be an option, provided I can find the product key.Overall, if you are in the market for an inexpensive Windows 10 device, I would recommend the Fusion5 10.1” Windows 10 tablet. At just under $200, it’s a pretty great buy.

great value, lots of ports
After lots of shopping around for a tablet to travel with I chose this Fusion5. This will suit my purposes for basic web browsing, apps, and file transfer from other devices to an external hard drive. At around $200, it’s got lots of features other tablets don’t have. Although I’m not a Windows 11 fan, this is the only tablet I could find with a decent amount of RAM (8 GB), multiple ports, including USB, USBc, a microSD, and an earphone jack. Worked great out of the box. My only complaint is that it comes with Windows 11S, which doesn’t allow app downloads from anywhere except the Microsoft store; however, S mode can be disabled; it took me a couple of days trying various methods to do that, but finally succeeded. I’m happy with the product so far and it seems to be a great value.

Runs Win11 “S” mode by default; Only runs items downloaded from MS AppStore, unless…
…you disable it. Contacted the Vendor, and they never mentioned it could be disabled. One star given because of the hours and frustration involved due to the lack proper information regarding the device during the purchasing process and the minimal support after the purchase. Now, the rest of the story:Issues:Yes, I am a very biased user. I have UNIX, Linux, and MS OS administration experience. If you want an inexpensive “entertainment toy” that only runs stuff from the Microsoft App store(including their browser and their version of word, spreadsheet, and), and you don’t mind being REQUIRED to have a “Microsoft on-line account” or being forced to pay the subscription for O365 (and, dare I say it, soon for the operating system itself?), you’ll probably love it.You will need a keyboard and a mouse to use it effectively for any of the supplied office product (e.g. PowerPoint, Word, Excel). So count on spending another $40USD to $80USD.The OS on the tablet is associated with your Microsoft account…not sure what that might mean later with respect to giving it to someone (family member, etc.), donating, or selling it. The new “owner” Might be required to purchase a new OS. Just something to consider if these are some of your thoughts regarding the purchase. My Needs and Interaction with Fusion5I simply needed a device with physical USB and HDMI ports and run a simple stage timer program that I purchased many years ago – and no, there was no equivalent in the MS App store. I didn’t need a network connection or anything. That being stated, if you want it for non-mind numbing purposes, you have two choices. Get something with a full operating system (or an Apple device) or disable the “S” mode. There are several videos on line that discuss how to do this.I spent HOURS trying to get a “non-verified” program to work on this thing as the inexpensive tablet I was using and it wasn’t until I ran a command shell window that the OS finally stated that it was in S mode.I contacted the folks at Fusion5, explained exactly what I needed to do with the tablet, and ended with, “If I can’t do this, the unit useless to me” and I’ll need to return it. How do I reset to factory settings”. Resetting didn’t even work as the OS requested the source OS installation files! What I Ultimately FoundI was fiddling with it today to figure out how to clear it (was on the verge of using the format command) and stumbled on a way to turn off the “S” mode and finally got the program I needed to run for a business conference last weekend(yes, AFTER I needed it) to work.QuestionsSo, my question to the folks at Fusion5, why don’t you document somewhere that the tablet CAN be taken out of S mode? And Amazon, why isn’t it in the description that this is intended for entertainment purposes or, if you purchase the subscription to O365 (monthly charges) and that ONLY Microsoft Verified (e.g. locked to the MS-App store) can be run?Two questions of a somewhat legal perspective come to my mind; Anti-trust violations on the OS part(although, they do give themselves an “out” with the ability turn S mode off…but…; “Bait and switch” (e.g. states Windows 11, but neglects to make the full statement that it has “restrictions” on the Amazon description side (although, I do understand that Amazon takes boiler plate from the vendors – Maybe vendor descriptions should be vetted more appropriately). If you have gotten this far, I sincerely hope you see this as a fair assessment given the reason for my purchase in the first place. If you are Amazon or Fusion5, in the future, please pay more attention to the product descriptions (by the way, I see information lacking on many products here on Amazon and affiliated vendor websites) especially when a product advertises something Windows 11, as one expects the full product, not a product with reduced features or capabilities.

Great little tablet
Needed to replace an old iPad, but wanted one with more connectivity. I always disliked that there was only a lightning port. The Fusion 5 solves that problem as there is a number of choices built in. As one who is not tech savvy, the fusion 5 set up easily and synced all my files from my laptop. While I’ve only been using the tablet for a couple of days, I’m very pleased with its performance. Since both my laptop and the tablet run windows 11, everything has been running seamlessly, all word docs and spread sheets. You certainly get a lot of bang for your buck with the Fusion 5.

Functuality and Value
Ease of use has me baffled somewhat. I can turn it on and use it as is; but I cannot link it to my laptop computer so that I can access my needs from either one. I am not computer savvy. Also, I don’t like Microsoft Edge which is default on almost any computer you buy; I use a different browser but I cannot access that browser on this computer. I downloaded it but don’t know how to get it to be default browser. None of this is the computer’s fault, it’s me and my lack of knowledge. I’m going to get my service provider to help me with these details. Clarity of picture is sharp and clear. Value is wonderful; EVERYTHING is wonderful.

Nice easy to use tablet
Bought this specifically for to pair with a health machine I use. It was very easy to set up, go out of S mode and pair with my device. The only thing I need to figure out now is how to keep it from sleeping so quickly. Overall good product and easy to use.

Good tablet
Doesn’t bog down or freeze. Lightweight and does what you need. 4 stars because of S Mode. Need to download E-Sword Bible app I have downloaded on my other PCs and have iPhone app. You download from internet on pc, but is not offered on Microsoft Store. Can’t download and is a clean interface app. But not necessarily tablet maker’s fault. I believe feature of windows 11.

This one does what iOS could not
I am using a software edit for a guitar effects unit -the valeton gt 200 . Software was only available on windows platform not IOS . After careful consideration and weighing my options this fusion5 10.1 plus tablet gave me the best bang for my buck . A family member that works on computers all day commented on how nice this small tablet was . I hope to enjoy it for many years

Solid Little Unit
I needed a Windows-based tablet for my custom apps and this unit does the trick. It has everything I need and it does what I need it to do. I ordered this unit with 4GB ram (I think they have units with more), and it seems to be working fine. It is shipped in S-mode, which helps with the memory and processor requirements.I ordered two of these units and one arrived with a cracked screen. I reach out to customer support and they responded to me immediately and they are in the process of replacing the damaged unit.So far, it is a solid unit for the price!

Great Budget-Friendly Tablet
I was looking for a small Windows-based tablet to replace an Android tablet that died. This was to sit beside my recliner for Internet searches, email, YouTube, and other light weight needs. The Fusion5 fills the bill excellently. All Windows features are working well. For a 10″ display, it is easy to read and viewing videos is conformable. Having a touch screen is a necessary feature that some competitors lack. I have two external additions from mt previous unit that I have found helpful: a Bluetooth keyboard and a stylus. The Fusion5 on-screen keyboard is easy to use and quite responsive. I just like touch-typing. The touchscreen works just fine but I have large fingers and I just like a stylus. These may enhance your experience as well but definitely are not required. As far as performance, the Fusion5 is powerful enough to handle all me needs. It even runs Microsoft Office applications well. I fully recommend this tablet.

Great Lightweight mini PC – Perfect for Travel
I needed a Windows PC for an extended Europe Trip with flights on carriers (like Swissair) that severely limit the weight of carry-on bags. My HP notebook weighs 4.8 pounds, and the Fusion 5 is only 1.5 pounds, and a much smaller form factor. When your flight carry-on limit is 8kg (about 17 pounds), 3 pounds is a huge savings. The Fusion powered up and went through Windows setup without a hitch. In fact, I was surprised that it ran as fast as it did given its low cost. Out of the Box, it has a security setting (S mode) that limits the installation of programs to just those found at the Microsoft store, but if you need to install any custom apps, as i did, you can easily turn that off by going to Settings/System/Activation and selecting the Go To The Store link. Then select Switch out of S mode. That’s it. Once I loaded up my custom app along with Microsoft 365 for email, Word, and Excel, I was good to go. Thus far, I like the Fusion 5 and haven’t experienced any of the problems that others reported. So, I’m giving it a positive review.

10.1″ Fusion5 Tablet PC Model FWIN232 Plus
I received this tablet just this past week and while I’m still investigating all the bells and whistles, I have to say I’m very impressed and pleased with the product and its ease of use. When I purchased this tablet I was looking for something at a reasonable price that had more memory and storage space than the tablet I’ve had for three years and that came with a Windows operating system. I found both of my needs supplied with this tablet. The $199 price was great compared with other tablets, some of which didn’t match up to this one, and it comes with a Windows operating system. This tablet as many assets:+ Physically, the 10.1 inch LCD display screen is just the right size, meaning it’s not so small that it becomes difficult to work with and it’s not so large that it can’t be carried in a purse, small bag or backpack. The screen is very clear and the colors are crisp. The shell is made of hard plastic, which seems the style with just about all tablets, so it’s lightweight and easy to hold.+ According to the specifications the tablet comes with Intel Cherry Trail Z8350 Quad Core (up to 1.92GHz), 5.0 MP camera (front and rear views), 4 GB DDR RAM, 64 GB storage, Wi-Fi capability, built-in Bluetooth capability, 6000 mAh battery, One Drive free online storage, accepts up to a 128 GB micro card (not included), built-in G-Sensor (haven’t figured that one out yet) and built-in hi-fi speaker and microphone. It also has a a USB port. USB cable and power cable are included.+ It comes with Windows 10 Home Edition pre-installed.The fact that it has a full-size 3.0 USB slot was a real plus when purchasing this tablet. That’s one of the main things I missed with my other tablet as I had to purchase an adapter to use a flash drive and it was very slow. There is also a keyboard dock for an attachable keyboard, which I wouldn’t mind having, but so far I’ve been unable to find one for this tablet. So far I’ve installed Firefox browser (the tablet comes with Edge browser) and several open source software programs (GIMP and OpenOffice) and even with Windows 10 installed I have almost 40 GB of free space for other programs. The tablet starts and runs quickly. Use of the Internet is very quick. I’ve had up to 10 tabs open at the same time and had no problems with internet speed. Wi-Fi works wonderfully. The graphics are nice and clear, videos are crisp and the touch screen works very well. I’m still getting used to the on-screen keyboard, it can be temperamental about where the user touches the keys and with what force. It doesn’t seem as quick as on my other tablet or an Android but that might be because I’m not used to the feel of it yet. Sound is actually pretty good based on a few videos I’ve looked at and it comes through nice and clear with an earphone.I’m not sure about battery life. I normally use this in the evenings, mostly writing, surfing the web and doing research. When I turn it off after about 4 hours the battery still shows quite a bit of power remaining, which means the battery lasts longer than in my other tablet, which is a positive. I’ll update in the future as to the battery capability. The battery does seem to recharge quickly.Based on what I’ve seen so far, I’d recommend this product to anyone who’s looking for a good tablet at an affordable price. It has a 12 month limited warranty included.

Haven’t used it yet but this is a different model Fusion5
The media could not be loaded.
This is not like the Fusion5 tablet I bought some 3 years ago ( described as “Series FWIN232+”).This one has a Type-C port instead of a Micro-USB port.I bought this one in the hopes it would be exactly like the one I previously bought. I asked on the Amazon site if it has a Micro-USB or Type-C port, and one reply stated that it has a Micro-USB port. Also this was advertised as Windows 10. The tablet is actually Windows 11.At this time, I do not know if I will keep this tablet. I have yet to use it. I am posting this review (within the same day I received the tablet) just because I was disappointed with the features and the fact that it is not Windows 10.I had already bought and returned this Fusion5 model of tablet to Walmart. (The Walmart site describes this tablet as “FWIN232+N4”). I then bought it through Amazon hoping it would be the Windows 10 Fusion5 tablet I bought in 2019. I clicked on the “Buy again” button.I do not know about the battery life, or the touch screen, or other things about it. I have yet to use it.I may return it. But I may not be able to find the “Series FWIN232+.”The problem with the Type-C port is that I don’t know if I can charge the tablet using the Type-C port instead of the barrel-pin port.I used to be able to use a regular, common, Micro-USB cord to charge the older model and did not have to use the barrel pin receptacle. But even if I can charge the tablet with the Type-C port, I will need to get a type-C cord or I will need an adaptor to make Type-C into USB and it will be an inconvenience when I travel with the tablet because I will have to bring a Micro-USB for my phone and a Type-C and/or adaptor for the tablet. But again, I may have to just keep this tablet and cope with it.One “pro” to it.The On/Off and Up-Down buttons are designed so that they are “imbedded” in the frame of tablet (rather than sticking out of the frame of the tablet like the previous model) so that it is not as easy to accidentally press these buttons.I will have to update when I find out more about this tablet after I have tried it.

Great Value
I did a lot of research and this one ended up being my top pick. I have been using a chromebook but needed windows for some applications and also to use for travel. It set up pretty quickly but i wish there was a quick start guide to help with the startup since it has been a while since I was working with windows. I will also be trying to set up google chrome so I don’t have to use microsoft edge for my browser. There are several ways to do this but have not decided which method I will use.

DO NOT USE Chat support – otherwise it is a 5 star tablet
Let me start with the chat comment – whatever company Fusion contracted with for live chat support is terrible. After a one hour chat session the very first question I asked, “If I switch out of S mode to Pro (as the popup screen calls it) what challenges can I expect? The answer – none at all. That would have taken less than 2 minutes…it was a frustrating 1 hour plus with canned scripts being posted from their script DB all call centers use. The final answer from support, after me nearly sending a great tablet back to Fusion and leaving a 2 star review? No, there’ s no challenges at all!!!SIMPLE but their chat contracted company has one of the worst training and development departments ever. Poor Neil, he finally admitted he did not know software….only apps. Can you imagine any customer care company actually putting poor Neil on the Fusion contract team? He tried his best but finally broke down and got James. After saying he read the script, he asked what my question is specifically. “You read the script right? It is the VERY FIRST thing on top of what you read, are there any challenges I should know if I switch out of S Mode to download LaserGRBL (the software we use for engraver). James was good, don’t get me wrong, but they trained him to say he read the chat text BUT only scanned for details and did what people always do, asked an obvious question right off the bat, really built my trust. Again, I did not blame James, he was trained by a company run by humans and clueless about human nature… Okay, enough rant, what about the product, Gary?3 minutes after getting off the chat session, LaserGRBL was up and running. I’m no gamer and stream far more music than video. What we do is laser engraving using LaserGRBL. With this excellent processor and expandable 128k RAM (can add 256k more) the rendering times are amazing, compared to our HP all-in-one, Acer laptop, or any other computer or tablet we had in our home.Although our HP did okay, speed is the name of the game and rendering is the difference between running a marathon bare foot, with sandals, dress shoes, or new running shoes. Which would you choose to race in? Exactly! Fusion5 is the best developed running shoes currently on the market. Imaging the space savings when I took out the MUCH slower computer and set this next to the laser and plugged it in. Yeah, slick setup that packs and goes quickly!!LaserGRBL runs GREAT! (Remember, if you are adding any Software (like Word, Excel, PowerPoint -not an app) Simply get the free app to disable and reenable S Mode. I disabled, downloaded and installed and THEN turned S Mode back on (I really like the added features of S Mode besides this one glitch).Without the live chat support TRAIN WRECK, this is a 5.5 star tablet all day long. Build quality, packaging, and more puts it easily 5 stars. The company, Fusion, simply needs to cancel the contract with whatever company they are using (I will be sending their Chief Training Officer the text and my recommendation). They ALMOST lost me completely and I would never have looked at another Fusion product. I was fully prepared to give a 2 star rating, copy & paste the text so all could see the poorly trained flopping around Neil and James had devolved to, and this GREAT tablet would have been returned and – yepper, back to square one).Instead, I’m thrilled with everything Fusion5 has (EXCEPT – micro usb still? Really????) going for it. It is going to save us many hours every week because it was built to be a processing monster…it delivers!!S Mode only allows Apps, not software.

Impressive!
Impressive tablet PC! It’s size is comfortable without being too small or too large. The weight is a little on the heavy side but that’s specific to my needs as I have numbness and arthritis in both hands and wrists. So, I will be getting something to help me with that. The screen is bright, but adjustable. I like bright. And so far, other than Google Chrome, it is running all of my apps – Audacity and Cricut. I do have others to verify – Noteburner, PC Optimizer, etc. Set-up was relatively seamless and only took about one day – 24 hours. It is a great product with many options – micro HDMI, USB, headphones, SD and micro SD card slots, and bluetooth ready. YAY! What more do you need folks!?

NEAT lightweight tablet
I am an 81 year old senior who needed to buy Windows 11 to get away from my old Windows 7 as it was at the point several websites would not let me sign on anymore for security reasons. I have had my Fusion 5 FWIN 232 slim tablet 8G RAM now for about a month. It has more capabilities than I will ever need plus extended space in the cloud. This is a neat little computer. I am looking forward to connecting the docking keypad for an even more Possibilities. Great value for the money also. I am still learning all the bells and whistles.

Pretty awesome device. Fast boot, capable, nice display.
Purchased this tablet primarily for travel. I also have desktop and laptop systems that I use. I needed this because because I wanted a tablet that would function as a Windows computer while flying and cruising. This unit is working well for the purpose. The only drawbacks are not so great camera and Windows 11. The camera resolution is ok as I have better ways of taking pictures and W11 is all on Microsoft. reflection reflection. With the optional keyboard, it will certainly fulfill my needs as a windows computer that fits in my briefcase.

Seems to work great except use time.
So far I am very happy with this Fusion 5 tablet pc. It is beautifully small and light. It seams quite powerful considering the size and weight. The only thing I have not come to terms with is the battery life. So far it seams short. A few more charge and use cycles may improve this. So far I have not seen Fusions indicated use time.

Compact for Travel
The size is exactly what I expected. I was looking for a Windows tablet to allow specific programs that are not available in an Android device. This tablet allows for all the Windows based programs so far.I did not find the touchscreen to be as responsive as an Android tablet, but I can live with it being a little slower. I’m not certain about battery life as I have yet to use it beyond 3.5 or 4 hours. I do recommend the Fusion5 keyboard for convenience.

Bells and Whistles for a bargain
I’m no techie, but it’s a lot fast than my last tablet. Seems to have it all: headphone jack, USB & USB C, even a HDMI interface port for those less-than-smart displays. The only cons I’ve noticed is the touch screen isn’t precise for my thick fingers and the back gets a touch warm, nothing a case and stylus can’t fix!

Quilting automation tablet
I bought this for quilting automation. I am typically an Apple tablet user but they won’t work with the software for my sewing machine. This tablet works well and installed with ease. My only complaint is that it is a bit slower to respond than my iPad. That was a little bit of a learning curve.
